You typed your password differently the second time.

When choosing a password, your password is obscured from view by your browser as you type. Because you cannot log in to your Home Space without your password, you are asked to type it twice to be sure you specified it correctly, including any captial letters or dashes. When you entered your new password the second time, you did not type it the same way you did the first time.
